Mitchelstown Cave
Discovered in 1833, Mitchelstown Cave is one of Europe’s most famous and spectacular limestone show caves, located in Burncourt, Cahir in County Tipperary, just 1 hour 10 minutes from the Great National Abbey Court Hotel.
The cave welcomes all groups of people including families, couples, individuals, holiday-makers, primary and secondary schools.
Be amazed by going deep underground with your tour guide, listening to interesting historical stories and seeing the outstanding stalactites, stalagmites plus huge calcite columns inspired from the ‘Tower of Babel’.
Mitchelstown Cave is also known as a ‘Concert Hall’ has hosted numerous musical concerts and events including performances from The Celtic Tenors.
