Join Our Team - Front Office Receptionist

The Abbey Court is an Independent Irish owned Hotel in the historic town of Nenagh, Co. Tipperary. We are seeking to recruit for our Front Office Team.

Join our team as a Hotel Receptionist and be the welcoming face of our establishment! We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and experience and creating memorable experiences for our guests. This is a full time role 5 over 7 days per week

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Receptionist must present a professional appearance and ensure all guests receive a genuine courteous welcome on arrival/ departure.
  • Be proactive in their work, finish tasks to high standard at all times.
  • Work in a positive manner with work colleagues and clients
  • Process all checks – ins and outs in a professional, efficient and courteous manner and to ensure that guests are assisted to have an excellent experience whilst staying in the hotel
  • To liaise proactively with all other departments, working in unity to ensure an excellent customer service experience internally & externally.
  • Answer all phone calls in a polite and timely manner.
  • Being familiar with all of the day’s business including arrivals, departures and in all other departments
  • Proven track record of working under pressure.
  • Ability to multi task and operate to a high standard of quality at all times.
  • Ensure all cash, billing and float procedures are adhered to at all times.

Proficiency in HotSoft for managing reservations, check-ins, and guest communications

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to ensure clear interactions with guests.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Experience in hospitality or customer service roles is preferred but not required; we value a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Fluent verbal and written English

Attention to detail is essential

Knowledge of Hotsoft an distinct advantage

Ability to work on own initiative is essential
